The 81st Texas Legislature passed HB 2985, which requires all intrastate motor carriers to have a USDOT number. All motor carriers that are required to have Texas motor carrier registration will continue to be issued a TXDMV certificate number in addition to the USDOT number.

File proof of cargo insurance, Form H/I (This requirement applies only to HHG) (household goods carrier).

Your insurance cancelled, no Form E was filed prior to the insurance cancellation or you have pending enforcement actions.

Yes both USDOT & TXDMV numbers only need to be displayed on both sides of the door or trailer if you are a household goods carrier.

Your DMV number will be assigned once your insurance and fees have been applied to your account.

Your TxDMV number will be assigned once your insurance and fees have been applied to your account.

Your insurance company must add your Form E first, before you can activate your TXDMV number. Once the insurance has been added then you can process your renewal or re-register your TXDMV number.

The UIN number is temporary and only issued at the time of setting up your TXDMV number. You have 45 days to get your insurance filed and the application fees paid. Once the insurance has been added and the fees have been paid the system will generate your TXDMV number and your UNI number will no longer exist.

The Form E has to be filed with the required amount in the MCCS to be allow to make payment.

From the Login Page you can select forgot password enter the Certificate Number or UIN, the system will email you your Login information.
